Description

We are looking for a  FT Temporary Laundry Attendant in our Beaumont Retirement Community from 7am-3:30pm.- (weekends are required)
 

Ensure that an adequate supply of laundry/linen supplies is maintained in laundry/linen closets to meet the daily needs of the residents.

Keep supervisor informed of supply needs.

Keep work area(s) free of hazardous conditions, i.e., spills, excess laundry carts, baskets, supplies, equipment, etc.

Report all hazardous conditions or equipment to the Director of Environmental Services.

Report all equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to your supervisor as soon as practical.

Assist others in lifting heavy equipment, supplies, etc., as directed or requested.

Clean work/supply carts, equipment, etc., as necessary/directed.

Ensure that equipment is cleaned and properly stored at the end of the shift.Is involved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances.Communicates with housekeeping personnel and other department directors. Is subject to call back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.).  Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including TB and the AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses.  May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals.  Maintains a liaison with other department supervisors to adequately plan for Laundry services.  We are a pet friendly community. Will be exposed to pet hair and dander.
