RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN RN SUPERVISOR:

  • Provides direct and ongoing contact with the residents, physicians, staff members, families, and vendors.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues to maximize resident, family, and potential resident satisfaction.
  • Monitors the physical, mental, and social functioning of the resident.
  • Demonstrates teamwork ability.
  • Serves as a resident advocate.
  • Conducts thorough nursing assessments and incident reports of residents.
  • Follows standard nursing care practices for treatment and medication distribution.
  • Maintains current documentation and other clinical records, ensuring completeness in a timely manner.
  • Facilitates orientation and training of all necessary staff involved with the care of the residents.
  • Demonstrates willingness for continuing education.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state – BSN preferred.
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
  • Minimum 1-year experience as nursing supervisor
