Description

We are looking for a FT Maintenance Worker: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (some weekend and Holiday are required)

BASIC FUNCTION

To provide Maintenance support for Skilled Nursing, Personal Care, Independent Living, and all departments. Must possess basic knowledge of several related skilled trades, such as HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, and Painting. Position requires the ability to operate hand tools and mechanical equipment efficiently while following standard safety practices.
Assist Dept supervisor in scheduling work and determining needs for equipment and supplies.  Perform a variety of skilled work in the maintenance and repair of Beaumont Facilities and equipment.  Report to supervisors regarding work completed, any unusual technical or resident issues. Perform a variety of skilled work in the maintenance and repair of Beaumont facilities and equipment.  Construct, rebuild and repair Beaumont equipment and facilities including various wood and metal structures, equipment, and furniture; prepare surfaces for painting/varnishing and apply surface coverings as required. Paint, scrape, and spackle as required. Assure compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures and with applicable federal, state and local codes, regulations, and requirements. Perform a wide variety of skilled journey-level work in the maintenance and repair of Beaumont facilities and equipment. Effectively and safely operate a variety of assigned tools and equipment. Maintain high standard of appearance regarding all paint surfaces, drop ceilings and flooring. Resolve all issues in a professional quality manner. Position requires the ability to operate hand tools and mechanical equipment efficiently while following standard safety practices

All other duties as assigned.   

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to stand, walk, squat/kneel, reach, grasp, push/pull, twist/bend for long periods of time. Must be able to lift/carry in excesses of 50 lbs.  must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.                          

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must be 21 or older. High school graduate or equivalent.
